An all-women-produced single variety selection lot

A vibrant heirloom variety with Ethiopian genetics and Colombian terroir

This coffee is an exciting addition to our Rare & Experimental program here at Ceremony. From our importing partner, Unblended, is this Transformation lot, a single-variety selection. Many things make this coffee something special. Chiroso is a variety found in Colombia but has genetic connections to Ethiopian landrace varieties. It grows at high elevations in Colombia and is vibrant, floral, sweet, and crisp.

Through Unblended's Transformation program, young Colombian producers, in this case young women producers, are given opportunities to lead and manage farms and collaborate with others in the industry to produce exciting and outstanding coffees. This lot is a result of a collaboration of the women in Unblended's program, reflecting their incredible work to produce beautiful coffees. Historically, women have long been involved in coffee production, but rarely have we heard their stories or had their contributions recognized. Through Unblended, these women's contributions are being elevated, recognized, and amplified.

This coffee is a stunner with notes of wildflower honey, lemon tonic, red plum, caramel, and Meyer lemon. It is complex and vibrant. We recommend a 1:16 coffee to (filtered) water ratio to capture these notes.

Note: This coffee will taste best at least 10 days off roast.

Yellow

Bright, vibrant yellow coffees offer refreshing and effervescent flavors found in meyer lemon, pineapple, and mango.
