A delicious naturally processed coffee from Ethiopia

a tasty cup that reminds us of fruit punch and cacao nibs

Coffee is a fruit. It is a seasonal product grown and cultivated by farmers. Mulugeta Muntasha is one of the many coffee producers around the world adding his unique mark to this beverage we often take for granted. Born and raised in the village of Bursa in the Southern Sidama Zone of Ethiopia, Mulugeta worked first as a truck driver, transporting coffee cherries to washing stations before establishing his own washing station, Dawencho, in 2021. He immediately found success, placing 2nd in the Cup of Excellence with the Dawencho farmer group, and 6th under his own name. The following year (2022), four of the top ten CoE winners were from the Dawencho washing station.

This coffee is a natural process landrace variety. Pickers bring collected coffee cherries from Mulugeta's farm in Bursa to the Dawencho drying station where they are dried on raised beds for up to 25 days before being de-pulped.

This coffee is fruit forward with notes of fruit punch and mulberry, anchored by a pleasant tropical acidity and a cacao nib finish. The mouthfeel is juicy like fruit punch.

Blue

Unique, fruit-forward blue coffees project soft, lightly fermented flavors in manner of blueberries, blackberries, and fruit wines
